CALLING ALL ALUMNI!

Do you have a Time-Share or vacation property you would be willing to donate?

The Kewanee Schools Foundation is celebrating its 30th Anniversary with a special event titled “All Aboard for Education! 30 Trips for 30 Years” to be held on Saturday, April 23, 2022 at the Kewanee Dunes Golf Club in Kewanee, IL. The goal of the event is to celebrate the Foundation and its donors over the last 30 years for their support to the Kewanee School District, as well as raise $30,000 for Dual Credit Scholarships and the Foundation’s Unrestricted Fund, which supports the areas of greatest need.

As part of the “All Aboard for Education! 30 Trips for 30 Years” event, the Foundation is planning to auction 30 exciting day trips to local and regional destinations, as well as longer trips to national destinations and abroad:  25 of these trips will be available for bid in the silent auction, with 5 larger trips to be auctioned off live by local auctioneer, Mark Guthrie. The Foundation is currently seeking donations of time-shares and use of vacation homes to package as 7-night trips for the event.

Many of our alumni have vacation homes throughout the country and abroad. Our hope is that some of you may be willing to share your vacation property at a time when not in use.  Or perhaps you own a Time-Share and are willing to donate a week of it to provide support to the Foundation and the students of KCUSD #229.  Both types of donations would be greatly appreciated and are tax-deductible to the extent allowable by law. Donations valued at $1,000 or more will receive recognition in the event program and two complimentary tickets to attend the event.

To donate a Time-Share or use of your vacation property, please contact Liz Breedlove, Executive Director at lbreedlove@ksf229.org or Mindi Goard, Foundation Assistant at mgoard@ksf229.org or 309-856-8702.  More details regarding the event will be available in the months ahead.

PLEASE NOTE...."THE ALL ABOARD FOR EDUCATION! 30 TRIPS FOR 30 YEARS" EVENT HAS BEEN RESCHEDULED TO APRIL 23, 2022.
